Knowing how to say “no” is another sign that you’ve mastered WLB. Whether that is to say no to another task, not replying to your boss after working hours, or refusing to compromise your integrity at your superior’s request. It’s not that you can’t do those things. It’s that you don’t have to. That’s a clear sign of work-life balance because you know where to draw the line between your life at work and at home, and you are not afraid to make that known to your bosses.
4 - You set time for rest and relaxation.
You do not see rest as an afterthought, but rather as something essential to your well-being. When you rest, it means that you are being intentional with your energy. Valuing rest and relaxation is a sign of work-life balance because you’re comfortable with taking breaks and know that doing more is not necessarily doing better.
